Continuing Education Events are free unless otherwise listed, and open to any doula who has attended a BirthWell Partners Birth Doula Workshop, or who is currently working as a volunteer or contract doula with BirthWell Partners.

Language Nutrition Coach Training

  • Tuesday, August 18th and Tuesday, August 25th 

    • This is a two part training​; to get certified you must attend both sessions.

  • Location: Zoom

  • Learn how to educate expectant and new parents on how to provide their babies with the Language
    Nutrition they need to support early brain
    development and later academic success.

Improving Black Maternal Mental Health

  • Saturday, March 28th, 10am-12pm

  • Cost: Free to BirthWell Doulas, $20 for non-BWP Doulas

About the Training

This presentation explores Black maternal mental health through a comprehensive lens that honors history, examines clinical realities, and centers cultural context. Participants will gain insight into the historical roots of disparities, current maternal mental health outcomes, and the impact of systemic inequities on Black birthing people and families. Emphasis is placed on culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches that support healing, advocacy, and improved maternal mental health outcomes.
