Mark your calendars now for a one-of-a-kind family event, the annual Earthy Birthy Fair & Family Wellness Expo Saturday Feb. 22, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Innovation Depot. Sponsored by BirthWell Partners Community Doula Project (BWP)and Babypalooza, the Fair features more than 25 vendors and sponsors who gather under one roof to promote healthy, holistic products and educate expectant moms and families on state-of-the art birthing and parenting.

“Earthy Birthy is a great opportunity to meet vendors and support BWP at the same time,” says Dalia Abrams, who is Executive Director of Program Operations at BirthWell Partners (https://www.birthwellpartners.org/), which helps lead the way to healthy births in Alabama with childbirth education, doula training and support for moms, and co-sponsorship of the annual wellness Expo.

“The Fair attracts people of all ages, from young students and families with children to grandmothers who want to share this important part of their family’s experience,” she says. “We also see young couples and fathers who are looking to learn more about healthy birthing and parenting, information that can be hard to find all in one place. It’s just a great afternoon. Many families make an annual event of it.”

People can support BirthWell Partners’ work by attending, or sponsoring, or being a vendor, says Ms. Abrams. “All money raised through sponsors, vendors, auctions and raffles, goes to support our mission of improving the health of under-resourced families and babies in our community through increased access to the proven benefits of birth doula support.”

SPONSORS: Companies, small businesses, institutions, non-profits, and individuals wishing to champion healthy births in Alabama can provide leadership by “sponsoring” the Fair at levels ranging from $75 to $1,000. Sponsors packets available for download.

VENDORS: Vendors receive excellent exposure for their products and services with event promotion from BirthWell Partners and Babypalooza and their combined networks of followers (via newsletters and social media), says Ms. Abrams. “You can set up a table at our EXPO and enjoy face to face exposure to 100s of families interested in what you have to offer.”
